What to do if your DeputyDJ set does not feel right
If the set feels wrong, change the inputs. Re-sorting without changes will give you the same answer.
If your set does not feel right, do not keep pressing re-sort and hope for luck.
DeputyDJ gives the same result if nothing changes.
Rebuilding without changes gives the same result.
What to change first
- 1
Change the preset
This is usually the clearest first fix.
- 2
Remove problem tracks with X
Use X on tracks that pull the set away from the room, the mood, or the pace you want. Removing them changes the direction of the set.
- 3
Remove or change the opening track
The opening track strongly influences the path. A poor opening can drag the whole set off course.
- 4
Add more suitable tracks
A deeper pool gives DeputyDJ more ways to solve the set cleanly.
- 5
Simplify the curve
If the shape is too busy, the result can feel forced.
Changing the opening track can completely change the path.
This matters most when the opening track is wrong.
DeputyDJ doesn’t pick songs. It orders them.
What not to do
- Do not keep rebuilding
- Do not shuffle
- Do not skip constantly
- Do not rely on settings to fix it
Change the inputs, then re-sort. That is how you get a different answer.
